    The TPS53219A device is a small-sized single buck controller with adaptive ON-time D-CAPmode control. The device is suitable for low output voltage, high current, PC system power rail andsimilar point-of-load (POL) power supplies in digital consumer products. The small package andminimal pin-count save space on the PCB, while the dedicated EN pin and pre-set frequencyselections simplify the power supply design. The skip mode at light load conditions, strong gatedrivers, and low-side FET RDS(on) current sensing supports low-loss and highefficiency, over a broad load range. The conversion input voltage (high-side FET drain voltage)range is between 4.5 V and 25 V, and the output voltage range is between 0.6 V and 5.5 V. TheTPS53219A is available in a 16-pin, QFN package specified from –40°C to +85°C.

    The TPS6218x is a synchronous dual-phase step-down DC-DC converter for low profile powerrails. It operates with two identical, current balanced phases that are peak current controlledenabling use in height limited applications.

    With a wide operating input voltage range of 4 V to 15 V, the device is ideally suitedfor systems powered from multi-cell Li-Ion batteries or 12-V rails. The output current of 6 A iscontinuously provided by two phases of 3 A each, allowing the use of low profile externalcomponents. The phases operate out of phase, reducing switching noise significantly.

    The TPS6218x automatically enters Power Save Mode to maintain high efficiency down tovery light loads. It also incorporates an AutomaticEfficiency Enhancement(AEE™) for theentire duty cycle range.

    The device features a Power Good signal, as well as an adjustable soft start. Thequiescent current is typically 28 µA, it is able to run in 100% mode, and it has no duty cyclelimitation even at lowest output voltage.

    The TPS6218x, available in adjustable and fixed output voltage options, is packaged in asmall 24-bump, 0.5 mm pitch DSBGA package.

    The TPS54560B-Q1 is a 60 V, 5 A, step down regulator with an integrated high side MOSFET. The device survives load dump pulses up to 65V per ISO 7637. Current mode control provides simple external compensation and flexible component selection. A low ripple pulse skip mode reduces the no load supply current to 146 µA. Shutdown supply current is reduced to 2 µA when the enable pin is pulled low.

    Undervoltage lockout is internally set at 4.3 V but can be increased using the enable pin. The output voltage start up ramp is internally controlled to provide a controlled start up and eliminate overshoot.

    A wide switching frequency range allows either efficiency or external component size to be optimized. Output current is limited cycle-by-cycle. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown protects internal and external components during an overload condition.

    The TPS54560B-Q1 is available in an 8-terminal thermally enhanced HSOP PowerPAD™ package.

    The TPS548B22 device is a compact single buck converter with adaptive on-time,D-CAP3 mode control. It is designed for high accuracy, high efficiency, fast transient response,ease-of-use, low external component count, and space-conscious power systems.

    This device features full differential sense, TI integrated FETs with a high-sideon-resistance of 4.1 mΩ and a low-side on-resistance of 1.9 mΩ. The device alsofeatures accurate 0.5%, 0.9-V reference with an ambient temperature range between –40°C and +125°C.Competitive features include: very low external component count, accurate load regulation and lineregulation, output voltage setpoint accuracy, auto-skip or FCCM mode operation, and internalsoft-start control.

    The TPS5433xA family of devices are synchronous converters with an input-voltage range of 4.5 to 28 V. These devices include an integrated low-side switching FET that eliminates the need for an external diode which reduces component count.

    Efficiency is maximized through the integrated 128-mΩ and 84-mΩ MOSFETs, low IQ and pulse skipping at light loads. Using the enable pin, the shutdown supply current is reduced to 2 μA. This step-down (buck) converter provides accurate regulation for a variety of loads with a well-regulated voltage reference that is 1.5% over temperature.

    Cycle-by-cycle current limiting on the high-side MOSFET protects the TPS5433xA family of devices in overload situations and is enhanced by a low-side sourcing current limit which prevents current runaway. A low-side sinking current-limit turns off the low-side MOSFET to prevent excessive reverse current. Hiccup protection is triggered if the overcurrent condition continues for longer than the preset time. Thermal shutdown disables the device when the die temperature exceeds the threshold and enables the device again after the built-in thermal hiccup time.

    The TPS40200 is a flexible, non-synchronous controller with a built-in 200-mA driver for P-channel FETs. The circuit operates with inputs up to 52 V with a power-saving feature that turns off driver current once the external FET has been fully turned on. This feature extends the flexibility of the device, allowing it to operate with an input voltage up to 52 V without dissipating excessive power. The circuit operates with voltage-mode feedback and has feed-forward input voltage compensation that responds instantly to input voltage change. The integral 700-mV reference is trimmed to 2%, providing the means to accurately control low voltages. The TPS40200 is available in an 8-pin SOIC and an 8-pin VSON package and supports many of the features of more complex controllers. Clock frequency, soft-start, and overcurrent limits are each easily programmed by a single, external component. The part has undervoltage lockout, and can be easily synchronized to other controllers or a system clock to satisfy sequencing and/or noise-reduction requirements.

    The LM53603-Q1, LM53602-Q1 buck regulators are specifically designed for automotive applications, providing an output voltage of 5 V or 3.3 V (with ADJ option) at 3 A or 2 A, from an input voltage of up to 36 V. Advanced high-speed circuitry allows the device to regulate from an input of up to 20 V, while providing an output of 5 V at a switching frequency of 2.1 MHz. The innovative architecture allows the device to regulate a 3.3 V output from an input voltage of only 3.5 V. All aspects of this product are optimized for the automotive customer. An input voltage range up to 36 V, with transient tolerance up to 42 V, eases input surge protection design. An open drain reset output, with filtering and delay, provides a true indication of system status. This feature negates the requirement for an additional supervisory component, saving cost and board space. Seamless transition between PWM and PFM modes, along with a no-load operating current of only 24 µA, ensures high efficiency and superior transient response at all loads.

    SIMPLE SWITCHER® 4.5V to 42V, 1A Step-Down Voltage Regulator with Adjustable Frequency

    The LM22672 switching regulator provides all of the functions necessary to implement an efficient high voltage step-down (buck) regulator using a minimum of external components. This easy to use regulator incorporates a 42 V N-channel MOSFET switch capable of providing up to 1 A of load current. Excellent line and load regulation along with high efficiency (> 90%) are featured. Voltage mode control offers short minimum on-time, allowing the widest ratio between input and output voltages. Internal loop compensation means that the user is free from the tedious task of calculating the loop compensation components. Fixed 5 V output and adjustable output voltage options are available.

    The default switching frequency is set at 500 kHz allowing for small external components and good transient response. In addition, the frequency can be adjusted over a range of 200 kHz to 1 MHz with a single external resistor. The internal oscillator can be synchronized to a system clock or to the oscillator of another regulator. A precision enable input allows simplification of regulator control and system power sequencing. In shutdown mode the regulator draws only 25 µA (typ). An adjustable soft-start feature is provided through the selection of a single external capacitor. The LM22672 also has built in thermal shutdown, and current limiting to protect against accidental overloads.
